Eyeglasses are one of the common items in modern people's daily life, and its production process usually includes the following steps.
Step 1: Eyewear design and development. In the design and development stage, designers will determine the appearance design and functional requirements of the eyeglasses based on market research and consumer demand. Then they will make design drawings and produce samples for testing and modification until they meet the expected requirements.
Step 2: Raw material preparation. Before producing eyewear, various raw materials including lenses, eyewear frames and temples need to be prepared. Lenses are usually made of optical glass or plastic while eyeglasses frames and temples can be made of metal, plastic or other materials.
Step 3: Lens manufacturing. The process of manufacturing lenses usually includes cutting, polishing, coating and lamination. Firstly, the lenses are cut to the appropriate size according to the design requirements. Then, the lenses are put into a machine for polishing to make the surface smoother. Next, the lenses will be coated to add features such as abrasion resistance and UV protection. Finally, hearing aids or anti-blue light film, etc. can be attached to the lenses as needed.
Step 4: Eyeglass Frame Manufacturing. The process of manufacturing eyewear frames usually includes injection moulding, turning and welding and plating steps. Firstly, plastic granules or metal materials are cut, heated and melted according to the design requirements, and then injected into the mould for forming. Then comes the turning process, which takes the shape and size of the eyeglass frame. Next, welding techniques can be used to join the temples and frames together, as required. Finally, treatments such as plating and decorating the eyewear frames can be carried out.
Step 5: Assembly and commissioning. In the assembly and commissioning stage, the manufactured lenses and frames are assembled. Firstly, the lenses need to be placed into the centre of the frame and they are fixed together. Then, check whether the fit of the lenses and frames is tight and make necessary adjustments to ensure wearing comfort and the visual effect of the lenses.
Step 6: Quality check and packaging. At the final stage of the production process, the eyewear undergoes a quality inspection to ensure that the quality of each product meets the standard requirements. The inspection includes properties such as clarity, accuracy and anti-blue light of the lenses, as well as the strength and appearance of the frames. Products that pass the qualification will be packaged and labelled with relevant information, such as brand, specification, production date and so on.
These are the main processes involved in eyewear production, and each step requires precise handling and quality control to ensure the quality and performance of the final product. The manufacturing of eyewear requires not only high quality raw materials and advanced production equipment, but also professional technicians and strict quality management system.
